Balance
Balance & Payments
Your money, how you earn it, and how to send it to others.
Last updated August 2026. Part of the VortexEconomy series.
Starting Out
Every new player starts with $2,500 in their wallet.
Earning Money
- Killing mobs pays out based on the mob's max health, tougher mobs pay more.
- Mining ores (coal, iron, gold, lapis, diamond, redstone, copper, emerald, and nether gold/quartz, including deepslate variants) pays a small random amount each time. Mining in Creative or with a Silk Touch tool won't pay out.
- Active Money Boosters double both of these rewards while they're running (see Boosters).
Checking Balances
/balance(alias:/bal) - shows your own current balance./baltop(alias:/balleaderboard) - shows the top 10 richest players on the server, ranked by wallet + bank combined, with wallet and bank shown separately for each entry. This is a live, real-time leaderboard, not something that updates on a delay.
Paying Other Players
/pay <player> <amount> sends money directly from your wallet to theirs.
- No minimum or maximum amount.
- No fee or tax taken, they get exactly what you send.
- No cooldown.
- You can't pay yourself, and you can't send more than you have.
- If the recipient has payments turned off, the transfer won't go through and you'll be told why.
/paytoggle (alias: /togglepay) - turns incoming payments on or off for yourself. This only blocks payments coming to you, you can still send money to others while it's off.
Want a chat confirmation when someone pays you? Check the Payment Alerts setting in
/settings, if it's off, payments still go through, you just won't see a message about it.
