Boots Enchants
Boots Enchantments
Boots enchantments are special upgrades applied to boots via Enchant Crystals.
Each pair of boots can hold multiple enchants, and three enchants conflict with others.
Ground Pounder is intentionally a small, modest version of a "landing slam" - it doesn't cancel your own fall damage and only hits a short radius, so it stays clearly weaker than the Stomper Boots' full seismic wave, which remains its own exclusive artifact ability.
Enchant lines appear on the boots' lore between the separator lines, above the VortexArtifacts footer.
Rarity Tiers
Rarity controls how often an enchant shows up when rolling a crystal - weights are per-enchant, and higher rolls more often.
| Rarity | Roll Weight | Count |
| Common | 80 | 6 |
| Uncommon | 40 | 8 |
| Rare | 15 | 8 |
| Epic | 5 | 7 |
| Legendary | 2 | 3 |
Enchant Slots
The boots follow the standard material progression.
| Boots | Enchant Slots |
| Leather Boots | 1 |
| Chainmail Boots | 2 |
| Copper Boots | 3 |
| Golden Boots | 3 |
| Iron Boots | 4 |
| Diamond Boots | 5 |
| Archangel Boots | 6 |
| Netherite Boots | 7 |
| Satanic Boots | 8 |
Rolling a crystal past the cap doesn't block it, but cuts the base success rate by 10% (only exactly at cap) - Crystal Dust can offset this, but never above the crystal's original base.
Common
The bread and butter. These show up constantly - expect to see all six before long.

A particle pulse reveals nearby pitfalls and drops ahead of you.
Desert Walker I - II | Conflicts: Mudskipper
No speed penalty on sand, red sand, or gravel.

Crouch-jumping launches you significantly higher.
Afterimage I

No knockback while both feet are on the ground.

Landing and immediately jumping again amplifies the next jump's height.
Combat Stride I
Each kill grants a brief speed burst.
Blood Trail I - II
Killing mobs leaves a damaging patch on the ground for a few seconds.
Epic
High-impact enchants that change how the boots play. Rolling one is notable.
Mudskipper I | Conflicts: Iron March, Desert Walker
No terrain movement penalty of any kind.
Ground Pounder I - II
Landing from a height deals modest AOE damage to nearby mobs.
Momentum I - II
The longer you sprint in a straight line, the higher your top speed climbs.
Deep Runner I
Move faster underground than on the surface.
Evasion I - II
Chance to dodge a hit entirely while sprinting.
Surge I - II | Conflicts: Quick Escape
Taking a hit grants a brief Speed II burst to reposition.

At max level, completely nullifies fall damage. At level I, fall damage is halved.
Conflict Reference
| Enchant | Conflicts With |
| Iron March | Mudskipper |
| Desert Walker | Mudskipper |

| Quick Escape | Surge |
| Surge | Quick Escape |
Mudskipper removes terrain movement penalties of every kind - a strict superset of both Iron March (cobwebs, powder snow, honey) and Desert Walker (sand, red sand, gravel) - so equipping either alongside it would just waste a slot. Quick Escape and Surge both grant the exact same reactive Speed II repositioning burst, just triggered by a different condition (dropping below 40% HP vs. taking any hit), so only one can be active at a time. Conflicts are filtered out before the crystal rolls, so you'll never waste one on an incompatible outcome.
