The Tiers
Each tier up gives you a wider hit-zone (easier to land a catch), a faster and shorter bite window, a slower cursor, and better luck toward rarer fish.

| Trash Rod | 100 | Very hard to land a catch, very low luck |
| Common Rod | 250 | Slow bites, poor luck |
| Rare Rod | 500 | Average bites, average luck |
| Epic Rod | 1,000 | Fast bites, good luck |
| Mythic Rod | 2,500 | Very fast bites, great luck |
| Exotic Rod | 5,000 | Lightning-fast bites, excellent luck |
| Satanic Rod | Unbreakable | Instant bites, the best luck in the game |
The Satanic Rod is a special case, it's not purchasable at all, only obtainable through smithing or rituals, and it never breaks.
How to Get Each Rod
The Trash through Exotic tiers aren't crafted at all, they're bought directly from the Rod Shop with balance and Fish Tokens. See the Fishing page for exact pricing.
The top two tiers are different:
- Archangel Fishing Rod - a Smithing Table upgrade from an Exotic Rod, using Infernal Essence as the template and Archangel Essence as the addition. See The Archangel Collection.
- Satanic Rod - a further Smithing Table upgrade from the Archangel Fishing Rod, using Seraphic Essence as the template and Satanic Essence as the addition. See The Satanic Collection.
A Few Notes
- Every rod tier below Satanic has limited uses and will eventually break.
- Higher-tier rods make the fishing minigame noticeably easier and push you toward rarer catches.
